The narrator/actress, who is famous for teen comedies such as American Pie, was an odd choice to read this book. The whole incest thing & Cathy constantly saying "Golly Gee" & "Golly Gee Day" really got on my nerves. However, a lot of details from the 1987 movie didn't match up to the actual book for obvious reasons. Having first being introduced to the classic Flowers In The Attic by the fantastic 1987 film, I was really looking forward to this book.
